Singing Stone Gallery and Studio is proud to present 'Handmade in America,' an exhibition featuring handmade fine art and contemporary craft. This multi-media show exhibits a wide array of the handmade, which is rich in traditions and expressive of regional craft artisans, and their contributions to America's cultural heritage. The juried exhibit will showcase contemporary jewelry, photography, paintings, glass, fiber, wood, ceramics, metals, and mixed media handcrafted by American artists. The works will be on view during regular business hours from July 4, 2014 to August 31, 2014.

Over a hundred artists from all over the country submitted their works. 29 Artists were chosen representing 7 states in North America. The participating artists include Dore' Anderson, Dan Balk, Julie Baroody, Zoe and Robert Bocik, Cassandra Bock, Kyle Confehr, Patricia Douglas, Christine French, Joe Giannotti, Ashley Gilbert, Susan Goehring, Anne Granina, Monica Guerrero, Kate Hamilton, Robin Johnson, Lauren Kearns, Candace, Knapp, Claudia Larrain, Robert Lopez, Spencer Mack, Mark Moore, Taylor Peterson, Lynn Rattray, Anna Schermerhorn, Linda Pieroth Smith, Brandy Stark, Zach Tate, Roberto Vengoechea, and Sherry Wells.

Handmade in America’s opening reception will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Refreshments and apple pie will be served. After the event, artists, collectors, family and friends, are able to travel on Tampa’s Heartline Trolley Car System, located steps from the gallery (Stop # 1), to Channelside Bay Plaza for fireworks and live entertainment.

Singing Stone is a working studio and gallery featuring Dan Balk designer jewelry, contemporary craft, fine art and silversmithing instruction. The Gallery is owned and managed by Nataly Balk, who takes pride in exhibiting and supporting local and regional artists' work.
