The Lions Eye Institute Foundation and Prevent Blindness Florida will host the first annual For the Love of Chocolate event on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 7:00 – 10:00pm. 

Come stimulate your senses and help people who are blind and visually impaired.

The event will be held at the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant&Research located in historic Ybor City. This “American Idol-style” evening will feature Tampa Bay culinary students in a head to head chocolate competition, judged by infamous local pastry chefs and guests.

Guests will be invited to sample the entries, vote for their favorite chocolate creation and help determine the “fan favorite”. “Celebrity judges” will be from well known restaurants in the Bay area. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners.

In addition, guests will enjoy music, fine wines and fun.
