9th Annual Race for Sight

The 9th Annual Race for Sight benefiting the Lions Eye Institute Foundation (LEIF) will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Centennial Park in historic Ybor City (corner of 8th Ave, between 18th Street and 19th Street)

Runners’ check in………..... 6:30 AM

5K Race begins………….... 7:30 AM

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk........... 8:15AM

The event includes a 5K race, a one-mile Kid’s Run and a Family Fun Walk.  People of all ages are invited to participate in this event, which supports sight-related outreach, education, treatment and research. In addition to supporting access to sight-saving/restoring corneal transplants for those unable to pay, LEIF funds programs that enhance the lives of blind and visually impaired people of all ages.

Each registered participant will receive a Race for Sight T-shirt and goodie bag.  Participants are invited to an after event celebration with food, music, awards and prizes for everyone to enjoy.

The entry fee is $25 per person in advance and $30 on the morning of the event.  All money raised will support the life-changing and sight-saving programs of the Lions Eye Institute Foundation.
