James Joyce Irish Pub Ratings & Reviews

My last visit was early March 2020. This place is a must stop when you are visiting Ybor Tampa and its close to the cruise port. Food is really good. I especially enjoy their Rueben egg rolls, wings and burgers as well as the fish and chips. The beer on tap selection is very long with a great choice of whiskey's on hand. Ambiance is fun and safe and the owners are always welcoming. If you like pirates, its where you may see some of the krewes hang out after parades or their meetings. It feels like your cheers bar. I have met so many amazing people there as well. The entertainment has always been spot on, especially groups like Clover's Revenge and Black Velvet Band. Although I miss seeing Celtic Conundrum perform as they were great too!

Pros: The music is always amazing!

Cons: Parking=If you arrive late, you are taking a chance on finding a space in one of the street lots.

James Joyce is my favorite bar to catch a soccer match on a Sunday morning! It's always filled with fans who sing their hearts out for the Spurs!

This is a quaint Irish Pub with a good drink! We only got an appetizer but it was yummy. Parking can be a pain in Ybor but there is a lot across the street for $5.

Always a good time when you come here. The food is amazing, the bartenders are friendly, the owners are almost always there to make sure everything is running smoothly. I wish they would bring back the blue cheese cheese sticks though.

Cons: Parking, there isn't a whole lot of it around there at night.

I love going to James Joyce, the owners are really nice and friendly. I was not sure how the food would be when they moved to the new location but I have really enjoyed everything I have tried. The blue cheese balsamic kettle chips are very addicting! The sandwiches are great too and everyone seems to get the muscles but I have yet to try them but they look great. Great bar in Ybor to hangout at!

Pros: Beer, food, atmosphere, bartenders and owners

Cons: If you get to Ybor late at night, parking can be an issue.

I like the Irish Car Bombs, they make them authentic. The new location is great and much bigger that the old location. They have an outdoor patio as well as use the parking lot on some nights for live entertainment. The inside definitely has an Irish Pub feel to it! The new location also offers food. Lots of board games so have a great time!

Pros: This place has the Irish Pub feel that reminds you of Ireland. Good selection of beer, great entertainment, and great crowd.

Cons: Kind of hard to find, it is upstairs and the stairs are very steep.
