By: If you’re visiting or just staying in the Tampa Bay area for New Year’s Eve, chances are you’ll probably be out on the town in one of Tampa’s great nightlife neighborhoods to ring in 2012. If you want to be close to the action without having to worry about driving, parking, cab fare, and all those other travel hassels, a night at a hotel might be a good idea. Luckily, Tampa’s got a few surrounded by a ton of great nightlife and events perfectly suited for ringing in the New Year. Here are some good options.
Tampa Airport Marriott (4424 N. West Shore Blvd., Tampa, FL 33607) – The Airport Marriot is located next door to the Tampa Convention Center and within walking distance of Channelside and Downtown Tampa. Watch the fireworks at Channelside then visit all the great nightclubs and more throughout the area.
Hilton Garden Inn Ybor (1700 E. 9th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605) – Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn will put you right in the middle of all the New Year’s Eve action in Ybor City. Located one block from Centro Ybor, the Hilton Garden Inn will put you next to all the great nightlife in Ybor City. Plus, a trip to Channelside or Downtown Tampa is only a short trolley ride away on the TECO Line Streetcar.
Hyde Park Hotel (2105 West Bristol Ave., Tampa, FL 33606) - The newly renovated Hyde Park Hotel is situated right in the heart of Tampa’s Historic Old Hyde Park. On New Year’s Eve you can head to the lavish Rooftop Eve party at Hyde Park Village or take a short trip to the SoHo district just a few blocks away.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel (5224 Orient Rd., Tampa, FL 33610) – If you want everything you need for an awesome New Year’s Eve celebration under one roof, then the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is the place to stay. This mecca of fun boasts a full casino, numerous restaurants, nightlife, hotel rooms, and much more. You can be sure they’ll probably have something pretty rockin’ in store for New Year’s Eve.
