Following its recent ban on curbside pickup parking, the Tampa International Airport is apparently trying to make things a little better for drivers who choose to wait in the airport's cell phone pickup lot.

Beginning today and continuing throughout the next 30 days, the airport will play host to a rotating variety of Tampa food trucks ready to serve those waiting at and arriving to the cell phone pick up lot, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

There's no word yet on whether the food trucks will become a permanent fixture at the Tampa International Airport, but with their recent addition of native Tampa restaurants including The Columbia, Mis En Place, and Green Iguana, it definitely seems like the airport is not averse to adding a little local culinary fare to their standard dining and drinking lineup.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the airport's cell phone parking lot - where anyone can park, free of charge - will play host to "one to two" food trucks which will serve their original fare from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays.

Aside from the addition of these new food trucks, the free cell phone parking lot at Tampa International Airport also offers free wifi and bathrooms for travelers and those waiting.

No word yet on which specific food trucks will begin appearing at the airport, but let us know if you do and we'll keep you posted as more news arises.
