Marketing Department Inc (MDI), a Michigan based marketing and branding company, is spreading its business down to Florida with the addition of local native Law Smith. MDI has a reputation for growing businesses and invigorating brands and Smith will lead these efforts and have a focus on B2B companies who primarily serve in the manufacturing, engineering, health, technology, and banking industry. Law will help these companies boost their brand, market share, increase their revenues and generate leads.

A fourth-generation Floridian with strategic business development experience, Law has many qualifications that make him a good fit for this position. Including his experience with digital marketing, brand development, business planning, and branding and identity. He started up his own company in Tampa in 2014, with little to no capital and only one client to his name. However, after five years of work he worked with almost 500 clients in the Bay area, which include MyArea Network, Inc., College Hunks Hauling Junk, Waterloo Washrooms, Valley National Bank, HealthEdge Partners, and Eshenbaugh Land Company. After graduating from Jesuit High in Tampa, FL, Smith went on to get his bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship and family business management, later returning to Auburn for his masters in business administration.

Smith's enthusiastic energy and dedication to helping businesses succeed are perfectly parallel to MDI and how they operate their company. Smith is excited about this opportunity, as he knows MDI has done good work in Michigan and can't wait to bring the success to Florida businesses too.

“I’m excited to introduce Tampa businesses to a results-oriented company that’s steeped in both innovation and pragmatism. MDI is providing brilliant ROI for their Michigan clients. I look forward to working with the team to do the same for our clients here in Florida," Smith said.

MDI also knows they are bringing on a bright mind to their team and expect to fully take off in the Florida market with Smith leading the way. Smith previously worked four and a half years with Tocobaga as a digital marketing specialist, helping the company achieve a five-star online reputation and reviews. Karyn Olsson, CEO of Marketing Department Inc, sees great promise in Smith and in Tampa.

“As we have explored growth markets for our agency Tampa continued to stand out because of its business mix with culture. The addition of Law will allow us to hit the ground running and start transferring our knowledge and experience to an established business community," Olsson said.
