Monday Night we excitedly headed to Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina for Craft Beer Monday, the hotel's craft beer Thunder Hour.  Being all about digital and data, we had to check out their digital happy hour!  If you have not yet experienced a digital pour, plan to stop by this Monday night to catch a game on one of their big, bigger or biggest (13 feet x 18 feet) TV's while enjoying great company and your favorite craft beers.......while they last!

Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina Craft Beer Happy Hour Has Gone Digital

Like beer drinking needs something else to make it fun, right!  The digital pour system at Tampa Marriott Waterside does that and more.  Drinking is social so why not take it one step further and go digital!  A huge digital display board at one end of the bar keeps you informed and engages you not only with the bartenders but the crowd too.

Each Monday night Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina taps a limited number of craft and domestic beers for their Craft Beer Monday night party at Champions Sports Bar, one of the BEST sports bars in Tampa.  The digital pour system keeps track of the beer in the keg as it is being served, counting down to that final glass.  The system also lets you know which craft beers are about to be tapped.  Now add to that tweeting and social sharing and it is truly a digital experience!

Comments in the form of tweets post in a running crawl on the Pour board.  Everything from news and reviews about the beers tapped that night, to clever jokes kept us engaged not only with the beer but the people in the room.  It was fun figuring out who-was-who from comments we read on the Pour board!

Beers ranged from $6.00 a glass to a bottled beer aged in Cabernet Savignon barrels for $16 each.  The bar is one of the best stocked bars in town and as we sat we noticed they pour a nice drink at Marriott Waterside!  The Thunder Hour appetizer menu kept us happy sharing appys at $5 per plate, and the crowd was fun!  We had a great time, plenty to eat and drink, checking out with a tab of only $40 for two people.

Valet parking is available at the hotel or you can park in the garage across the street.  We chose to have a designated driver drop us off and pick us back up again.

We enjoyed the Marriott Waterside craft beer digital happy hour and look forward to visiting again!
