Pure passion, uniquely delicious burgers, and a laid-back vibe are just a few things that make Burger Culture one of the most unique places in Tampa Bay.

Owners Gabe and Ashley Sandoval operate their restaurant out of a one-of-a-kind food truck that is complemented by outdoor seating under thatch-covered huts.

“The idea is for customers to experience and L.A. food truck kind-of-feel,” Gabe explains - and the atmosphere is just that … laid back, relaxing, come-as-you-are.

Their now permanent location at 6920 N. Dale Mabry Ave. is just north of Lambright and adjacent to Harley Davidson, attracting an array of customers.

“This location is great, people stop by all the time,” Gabe explains. “I’m excited to be right here off Dale Mabry.”

Gabe is grateful for where he is today, but it has been a journey that has required much sacrifice, sweat, and - of course - grease to get to where he is today.

“We started out in a truck next to a tiny vacuum cleaner shop five years ago,” Gabe explains, “then word got out and soon we were doing 70 to 80 events a month. We stayed very busy.”

Very soon Burger Culture’s fame spread through the oldest form of advertising: word of mouth; patrons couldn’t get enough - they kept coming back for more.

Fast forward to today and the vision - to bring unique, gourmet burgers unlike any other to Tampa - has become reality.

Just one bite of any of Burger Culture’s famous half pound, made fresh to order patties, would explain their popularity. Some of their fan favorites are featured below:

The Street Burger

Burger Culture’s most popular item; this mouth-watering burger is topped with cheddar, pineapple, cilantro aioli, and Burger Culture’s famous pink sauce.

The Kicker

Topped with some of the greatest things in life, all combined together: pepper jack, bacon, egg - sunny side up, and sriracha mayo.

Waffle Burger

Topped with creamy goat cheese and blueberry compote; served between two full, lightly toasted Belgian waffles for the burger experience of a lifetime!

Mango Burger

Topped with cream cheese, sauteed onions, and mango chutney. Delicious!

Goober Burger

Topped with peanut butter and a sunny side up egg, this burger is one-of-a-kind!

While Burger Culture includes a litany of unique gourmet burgers, they all feature an assortment of other delicacies such as their grilled cheese sandwiches, the Granny (brie, caramelized apples, prosciutto), the Short Rib (Havarti, short rib), and of course, the incredibly popular Burger Culture Grilled Cheese - which is a burger served on grilled cheese with pickle and tomato.

Coming Up

Burger Culture has big plans for the future. They are planning a Bacon Festival on June 30th and possibly a student night for USF students.

In addition to the events, Gabe is planning on expanding his unique brand in the Seminole Heights and Town N’ Country markets, which will provide patrons in these areas with the same incredible burger experience that many others have already enjoyed.

“This simply doesn’t happen in Tampa,” Gabe remarks. He invites everyone to come out and try it for themselves. “They won’t be disappointed.”
