The new digs are stunning, the place is HUGE with an outdoor patio and bar, very zen, and the food is just as good as it always was at their Carrollwood location. This premier, contemporary, and affordable sushi destination in the Westchase area is the place to enjoy lunch or dinner over a variety of signature sushi selections, entrees, appetizers, bento plates, teriyaki and more.

Conveniently located across from the Westfield Brandon Mall if you like traditional, authentic sushi made from the freshest seafood flown in daily Sushi Maru is a definite MUST TRY! For years I worked with a group of Filipino venture capitalists. They'd receive a phone call and the race was on to get to Maru! There was no other sushi house they preferred more than Sushi Maru. The work they do speaks for itself, you gotta try this place!

One of the littlest known yet one of the best. From Downtown you drive the famous Bayshore Boulevard along the waterfront to Gandy Boulevard, head west a few blocks and you will find great sushi merging the best of many worlds from Thai, Japanese, Chinese and more.

Affordable and delicious, Sakana is a great escape!

A new Japanese restaurant serving the Brandon/Riverview area they are crazy good when it comes to sushi! Though they have many Japanese specialties on the menu their sushi is what keeps people on the South Shore coming back for more!

Located in Brandon and down the street from Sushi Maru, Sushi Ushi serves authentic Japanese food including hibachi-grilled fare, teriyaki, sashimi, roll, small plates, and beer and sake. I love having lunch here every time I am in Brandon. Food is just so fresh, good, authentic, and worth every penny.

Located on the corner of Macdill and Bay to Bay in South Tampa, Kelp Sushi Joint has become one of my favorite go-to sushi spots in town. I first heard about them through an Instagram promotion for their happy hour deals which includes getting a second cocktail for just a $1 more and a second classic roll for just $2 more. For the summer happy hour is everyday from 2 pm - 6pm. They also have an everyday special of picking two classic rolls and a starter for just $12.95. The restaurant is small but filled with flavor. Enjoy fresh sushi, seaweed salad, sashimi, fresh poke bowls, sushi burritos, and more at Kelp Sushi Joint. I encourage you to check out their menu online.

Located in a small shopping center on N Dale Mabry Hwy in Lutz, Umami Sushi is amazingly delicious. I enjoying going here to enjoy their sushi roll lunch special after a day of shopping at the Tampa Premium Outlets. Umami Sushi offers fresh, delicious, and well presented sushi at a reasonable price. It really is some of the best sushi North Tampa has to offer.
