We invite you to watch the Solar Eclipse in Tampa at this fun Beach Party on Rocky Point off the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Beach Bar & Restaurant is hosting a Solar Eclipse Watch party all day Monday, August 21st, with drink specials, keepsake pilsners, and free Beach swag!

There seriously is no better way to watch the eclipse than with a $5 Frose' IMHO! Grab your friends and head to Beach for this historical event where you can kick-back and relax, play volleyball, enjoy $12 frozen drinks, keep the glass, and nosh on $5 appetizers all day Monday.

I can't think of a more comfortable place to be, with ample bar space, pool tables, lots of games and entertainment, including live music; get your toes in the sand as you witness the solar eclipse in Tampa.

The moon will appear to touch the sun's edge at 1:17 pm. The solar eclipse in Tampa reaches maximum coverage at 2:49 pm and ends at 4:14 pm.

Never look directly at the Sun during an eclipse. You can seriously hurt your eyes, and could even go blind. Proper eye protection, special eclipse glasses or a Sun filter, are your only safe options, sunglasses don't work.

So, are you wondering, "Can I take a picture with my cell phone?" Yes, you can, but you need to take a few steps beforehand.

First, never look at the sun, protect your eyes with special eclipse watching glasses, (Beach will provide the special viewing glasses). Because your cell phone camera is limited, find interesting scenery at Beach Bar & Restaurant, (that parts easy), and play with the light. Solar eclipses change the light and the shapes of a shadow. Compose your picture by including trees, the pier, and reflections. Turn around and look behind you at the way the light will play off the Bay Harbor Hotel.  Sometimes the best picture is behind you, and remember, turn off your flash!

You can also take a shot of the projected Sun. Make a pinhole projector easily from materials on hand, and take pictures of the projection. You may have to play around with your shots, just remember, be sure your eyes are protected anytime you point your camera toward the solar eclipse in Tampa this Monday.

One of the sky's most impressive shows, this is a rare and striking phenomenon you just can't miss. Make plans today to watch the Solar Eclipse in Tampa at this fun Beach party with friends. It's going to be hot out; you'll need to hydrate! Enjoy all day specials, dine on appetizers or grab the menu, Beach serves up some seriously good eats, and create fun memories on this momentous Monday!
