Halloween lands on a Tuesday this year, which makes trick-or-treating tough for families with youngsters. Luckily, there are plenty of spooky and safe family-friendly Halloween events in Orlando happening all month long and in the days leading up to October 31 all over the Orlando area. 

The HAUNT at Old Town

From September 22 to October 28 and on Sunday October 29, Old Town is being haunted every Friday and Saturday night from 6 pm to 1am. As the sun sets, enter the Orlando Halloween madness and watch fears and phobias come to life in haunted mazes or scare zones. Find out if you have the skills to survive the zombie apocalypse. And keep an eye peeking around every corner because that unsettling feeling like someone is following your every move is probably real. You're invited to enter if you dare, survive if you can.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017

On select nights from August 25 to November 1, the gates of Cinderella's castle will close at 7 pm for anyone who hasn't purchased admission to the Halloween event in Orlando when the Disney spirits will awaken at Magic Kingdom. There will be magical trick-or-treating through the lands, villainous entertainment, fireworks of HalloWishes, your favorite Disney characters, and more. SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular

From September 30 to October 29, families are invited to dive in and explore an underwater "fantasea" at the Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld | Orlando. The kiddos can wear their costumes and trick-or-treat, dance with fanciful sea creatures, create sea-themed arts and crafts, search for hidden sea treasures using Spooktacular maps at fifteen different locations, stroll among the colorful schools of pumpkin fish and other characters like Penelope Pumpkin fish, Shamu, Dolly Dolphin, Shivers the Polar Bear, Pete and Penny Penguin and more. And, all Spooktacular Halloween events are included with regular park admission.

Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Florida

Every weekend in October LEGOLAND Florida celebrates Halloween in Orlando with their Brick or Treat event. Miniland USA transforms into a haunted but fun scavenger hunt where guests can find scary Lego creatures. Kids can participate in a costume contest and guest of all ages can trick-or-treat along the brick-or-treat trail, build unique LEGO model activities, and witness the largest LEGO Jack-O-Lantern in the world. Event admission is included with regular park admission.

BOO! on Broadway

On October 27 from 5:30 to 8 pm, enjoy free trick-or-treating on Kissimmee Main Street and watch The Kissimmee Case Race - a casket derby. Think soapbox derby with pinewood caskets instead of cars. Costumed teams of five will compete in a 100-yard push dash. 

Mr. Richard & The Pound Hounds: A Halloween Concert

On October 28 at 1 pm, Orlando's favorite family band is back at the Orlando Repertory Theater with sing-a-long tunes about fish, skunks, cool snakes, and Halloween fun in Orlando. Kids are invited to wear their costumes and show them off before the big Halloween night. Tickets start at $15 and are on sale at orlandorep.com.

Halloween Boo Bash | The Grove Orlando

From 5 to 8 pm on October 28, bring the kids to The Grove Orlando where they will get up close and personal with eerie experiments. Mad Science will be in charge of the experiments while a live DJ will be spooking up the fun with games, contests, and a costume parade while kids trick-or-treat throughout the shops.

Mall-O-Ween

For safe and family-friendly trick-or-treating in Orlando, head to the Seminole Towne Center on October 31 from 6 to 8 pm. Children ages 2 to 12 are invited to dress in costume and collect candy from all the participating stores. It's a free event, but masks and weapons of any kind are not permitted.
