Want to get spooked, Tampa? Halloween is coming up and the 5th annual “A Nightmare on Franklin Street” series is back at the Tampa Theatre! From October 20th through October 31st, come into the most haunted place downtown for ghost tours, films ranging from freakishly frightful to family-fun, special guest speakers, and paranormal experiences! If ghost and supernatural encounters, creepy cinematic show times, and Halloween Happy Hour seems like the events for you; “A Nightmare on Franklin” is what dreams, or in this case, nightmares, are made of!
Go on the Ghosts of Tampa Theatre Tours if you’re looking to walk deep into the historic hallways of one of the most haunted buildings in town. Hear the spine-tingling stories that happened within the walls of the Tampa Theatre. The Late-Night, Lights-Off Paranormal Experience is a night where you walk alongside experts of the paranormal to investigate the strange claims of active spirits in the movie palace. Spirits of the Bay: An Evening of Live Storytelling with Deborah Frethem indulges us in the Tampa Bay Area’s spookiest stories that are along our very streets. Got goosebumps yet?
Those who are looking for a terror-inducing time could seek out films such as Dawn of the Dead, The Thing, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Shining, Halloween, and more grueling movies throughout the “Nightmare on Franklin Street” series. A film released this year called Get Out will be playing on Monday, October 23rd at 7 PM and the only thing that we know is that it’s the best horror film to have come out in 2017 and that it may play on your fears so much that it may not sit nicely even when you walk out of the Tampa Theatre. Don’t fret if you’re not into the super scary scene! The 12 nights include cinematic pieces that are family-friendly flicks like Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Frankenweenie, and Hocus Pocus! The Tampa Theatre has a little bit of everything for patrons looking to get into the Halloween spirit this October.
