If you've been to the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, you know.  Beads are like their own precious currency for this one single day in Tampa as kids and adults alike gather along the Downtown Tampa streets to grab these colorful accessories as they fly from the parade floats.

When the Gasparilla Pirate Festival comes on Saturday, January 27th, this age-old practice won't be much different as thousands of Tampa's best come out to celebrate this annual, homegrown holiday.

Of course, beads are pretty easy to get if you're lining up in a good spot for the Gasparilla parade, but if you want to be ahead of the pack, you can get a huge assortment of beads before the parade at Buccaneer Beads in South Tampa.

Buccaneer Beads offers beads for Gasparilla, custom corporate beads, custom parade beads, and more.  Stop by, pick up some beads, and you'll be one step ahead of the game, not to mention pretty popular, at Gasparilla this year.

Another iconic place to buy beads in Tampa is South Tampa Trading Co. It's often considered a gem for Gasparilla parades, as you'll be able to find everything related to the event. Whether it's custom-made pirate costumes or beads, drop by the store, and you wouldn't be disappointed.

Of course, a handful of famous Gasparilla floats and their pirate krewes will be throwing out beads to all those along the parade route.  Famous krewes to look out for include the Krewe of the Knights of St. Yagothe Krewe of Venus, the Krewe of Hillsborough, and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla.

If you're more of an online shopper, we feel you! Going out to the store and picking out beads can be labor intensive if you're a member of a big krewe. Check out some options on Amazon, with timely shipping, below!

Sound fun?  Gasparilla takes place on Saturday, January 28th.  Round up some friends and have some fun at one of the best parties of the year in Tampa!
