Stageworks Theatre is a premier destination for plays and other live entertainment in the heart of Tampa's famed Channelside District.
But, that's not all, Stageworks Theatre is an artist's haven in Tampa working to bridge the gap from the Straz to Ybor City’s vibrant arts scene as well as functioning as a home for diverse at risk youth to learn and ‘do’ theater and fostering a world class theatre community in Tampa.
Stageworks Theatre's current season is easily their biggest and best yet with an assortment of great plays showing and coming up in 2013. Circle Mirror Transformation written by Annie Baker will debut at Stageworks tonight, March 7 and show every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. as well as a Sunday matinee showing at 3 p.m. until March 24.
Winner of the 2009 Obie Award for Best New American Play, Circle Mirror Transformation is a hilarious and touching play that shows what life is like in a small town acting workshop.
Of Mice and Men, the famed tale crafted by legendary author John Steinbeck will play next at the Stageworks Theatre from May 2 through 19. This will be followed by How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents from June 20 through July 7.
