The 2012 Labor Day Weekend is fast-approaching with many throughout Tampa Bay looking to get out and enjoy everything the area has to offer over the three-day weekend.  We've assembled a few ideas, events, attractions, and more adults and kids of all ages can enjoy throughout Tampa Bay over the Labor Day Weekend.

Naturally, a trip to the beach is ideal in these end-of-summer months.  Check out our definitive lists of the best beaches in Tampa and best beaches in St. Petersburg/Clearwater for the down-low on all the great, sandy destinations to escape to over this upcoming Labor Day Weekend.  There are plenty of great bars and restaurants surrounding a handful of these beaches and enough entertainment to keep the entire family well-occupied for the day.

Just a few minutes away from the St. Pete beaches, Gulfport will hold their annual Gecko Fest, a Mardi Gras-style street festival featuring a parade, live music, costume contests, and more kicking off at 10 a.m. in Downtown Gulf Port.

Across the bay, one of Ybor City's biggest and best nightclubs, Prana will host a Labor Day Celebration on Sunday, September 2.  Head out to Prana on Sunday for five different levels of pulse-pounding music, great drinks, VIP deals, and much more.

Also in Ybor, Barbarella, the famed Ybor City bar, will host a Labor Day Bar Crawl on Sunday, September 2.  Wear you best white shirt out to Ybor for a bar crawl featuring a free shot at every stop and free hors d’oeuvres at Bradley's on 7th.  The crawl is $15 and kicks off at 7 p.m. at Barbarella.
