Get ready Tampa.  The 2013 Florida State Fair will kick of tomorrow, Thursday, February 7 for twelve days of wild rides, delicious eats, live entertainment for the whole family, and more.

Opening day at the Florida State Fair is also Heroes Day.  All active, reserved and retired military, as well as law enforcement, firefighters and first responders can get in to the fair for free with  valid ID.

In addition to a variety of rides and ridiculously delicious eats, the Florida State Fair is gearing up to host one of the best concert lineups in its 109-year existence.  This year, the fair will play host to performances from LeAnn Rimes (Feb. 18); Starship featuring Mickey Thomas (Feb. 11); Less Than Jake (Feb. 14) the Bellamy Brothers (Feb. 12); and the Country Gold Tour (Feb. 13) featuring Jim Ed Brown, Helen Cornelius, and the Gatlin Brothers.

Concerts at the Florida State Fair are separate, ticketed events not included in the regular price of admission to the fair.

Concert tickets as well as regular tickets to the 2013 Florida State Fair are on sale now and available for purchase at floridastatefair.com.  Advance tickets are $8 for adults 12 and over and $4 for kids ages 6 to 11.  Midway Ride Armbands will get you access to over 70 midway rides featured at the fair.   They're $25 in advance for armband days during the fair which are February 8, 10, 15, 17, and 18.

Regular admission is $10 for adults 12 and over and $4 for kids ages 6 to 11.  Midway Armbands will be $30.
