Heads up, Tampa art lovers.  This weekend, on Saturday, April 21 specifically, the one of a kind Art on the Water event will set up shop on the beautiful water-walk just outside of Jackson's Bistro in Downtown Tampa.

The 6th Annual Art on the Water event has grown every year since its inaugural appearance in 2007.  This year, Art on the Water will feature 80 different artists from Tampa Bay and beyond as well as local art-supporting businesses and more.

This FREE event is perfect for the entire family and a great way to explore all the artists and work that make the art scene in Tampa so vibrant.

The featured artist at this year's Art on the Water is master sculptor and passionate painter, David O'Keefe.  O'Keefe rose to fame as an editorial illustrator over his 25 year career with a signature style featuring sardonic characters and humorous illustrations.  His work has appeared on the covers of Mad Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and The Village Voice.

There will also be an auction at Art on the Water where vistors and fans of the event can bid on an awesome variety of items with all proceeds going toward the Mike Alstott Family Foundation.  Auction items include a full year membership to Lifestyle Family Fitness, a handful of autographed sports memorabilia, gift cards to restaurants all across Tampa Bay, and so much more.

Art on the Water kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 21st at Jackson's in Downtown Tampa.  For more information, head to www.artonthewater.net.
