World-renowned Tampa theme park, Busch Gardens is gearing up to host its annual holiday celebration, Christmas Town, set to preview November 14 & 15 and open daily starting November 20 through January 3rd. It's a great way to kick off Christmas in Tampa!
Busch Gardens is making extra special efforts to make sure that their treasured Christmas Town holiday event can still happen, despite the limitations put on by this pandemic. The holiday event has a special preview weekend on November 14th and 15th to kick off the holiday season. The theme park has put in a lot of work and time with medical professionals to ensure that this event can still provide everyone with the great fun that Busch Gardens has in past years.
Due to the nature of the pandemic, the Busch Gardens Christmas Town holiday event will be having outdoor entertainment, required face coverings and social distancing, increased sanitation, and temperature checks. Since there will be social distancing put into place, the theme park will be at a limited capacity, so in order to make it to this event, you must make a reservation online beforehand!
The holiday event features millions of Christmas lights, a limited capacity Holly Jolly Express train ride, and an introduction to a new tradition “Spark the Night” firework show! Although the pandemic makes things a little harder, Busch Gardens has put into place extra efforts to make some of the holiday event’s traditions safer. Santa and Rudolph will be there for contactless interactions and for the first time, the “Christmas on Ice” show will be performed outside to allow for social distancing. Not to mention, there will of course be treats throughout the park, including spiked hot chocolate and hot toddies for all of the parents.
After the special preview weekend on November 14-15, the holiday event will go into full force from November 20th to January 3rd! Make an online reservation, which is included in standard park admission.
