On Friday, November 8th at 6pm, Tampa's biggest chef battle will be taking place at The Centre Club. The Dueling Chefs Competition 2013 is a battle between two of Tampa's finest chefs, and the competition benefits the Children's Cancer Center of Tampa. Every year their goal is to raise at least $25,000 for the organization.

This year, the competition will feature a battle between Chef Michael Buttacavoli and Chef Suzanne Crouch. Chef Buttacavoli will be representing the upscale Italian restaurant, CENA, located in Grand Central at Kennedy. Chef Buttacavoli is best known for his modern, fresh and simple Italian entrees paired with handcrafted pastas. Chef Suz will be representing Ella's American Folk Art Cafe, located in Seminole Heights. The menu radiates Chef Suz's creative personality and love for food. Some of her specialties include crab stuffed buttnernut squash, bacon wrapped meatloaf, and pan seared pork chops topped with bacon apple jam.

Both culinary masters will be provided with a "secret" ingredient that must be prepared in a signature dish. Both the crowd and the judges will determine which dish is truly irresistible and who will be this year's winner.

All attendees will get the chance to enjoy an evening of sampling some of the finest foods, socializing, as well as the even'ts silent auction. The auction will include high end gifts and beautiful artwork made by the children of the Center. This is a wonderful event that benefits a great cause; don't miss your chance to experience such an exciting night!

A big thank you goes out to this year's sponsors: Touch Vodka, Wingate & Associates Realtors, Aflac, FCS inc, Ice Pro, ABI, the Tampa Tribune, HR Shield, Toyota of Tampa Bay, and TBBO Excellence.
