Grab your pups, dress them up, and head on down to Irish 31 for the St. Pup-Tricks Costume Contest, Saturday March 14th.  Held in conjunction with Irish 31's massive PaddyFest extravaganza and Sam Ivy Canine Consultants, the event will and benefit ACT, the Animal Coalition of Tampa.  The three pooches with the most creative costumes will win some awesome prizes from their sponsors.

What's better than hanging on the patio of Irish 31 on a beautiful Florida Spring afternoon with your costumed canine celebrating St. Patrick's Day?  You can "Be a Hero" and help ACT find a new, permanent home!  ACT is a non-profit spay, neuter and veterinary clinic that provides affordable care to pet owners.  They treat an astonishing 25,000 dogs and cats in the Tampa Bay area each year!  By providing affordable care, they help save the lives of animals by decreasing euthanasia in shelters.

Unfortunately, ACT has been down quite a rocky road the past few years. They lost their clinic and three of their house cats to arson last year and just nearly lost their temporary home this month.  Luckily, they are able to stay in their space temporarily but they need the community's support to "Be a Hero" and help them raise money so they can re-locate to a new, permanent home.

Enjoy a fun filled afternoon with your pup, have the chance to win some fabulous prizes and "Be a Hero" by donating or purchasing one of ACT's cute, and appropriately green, Be a Hero t-shirts.  So, shake your shamrocks down to Irish 31 on Saturday and help ACT continue to assist pet owners and save animals!
