The Tampa Bay History Center is not only a great place to get an interesting dose of Tampa history in an awesome museum setting, but a great host for a number of cool Tampa events as well.  With fall, and more importantly, Halloween coming up, they've got a couple events perfect for adults and kids alike looking to get in the Halloween spirit.

The first event they're hosting is HISTeria, described as "a premier adult Halloween party in Tampa".  Hosted by Tampa's beloved Cigar City Brewing, HISTeria is a great place to test out that crazy costume and party with all your adult Tampa neighbors.  Dine on small plates from some of Tampa's best restaurants including Datz, Pizza Fusion, Cafe Hey, Cafe Dufrain, Stumps Supper Club, and more.  Tickets for HISTeria are $50 in advance ($60 at the door) and include free valet parking, complimentary drink tickets, and food for the evening.  It all goes down on Saturday, October 22.

The next event, A Night at the Museum, is perfect for families and kids.  Head out to the Tampa Bay History Center on Sunday, October 30 to explore their newest exhibit "Out of this World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television" with costumes from Star Wars and other movies.  Kids are encouraged to dress up in their costumes for A Night at the Museum and a ton of candy, entertainment, and games will be on hand as well.

Even if you don't go to these events, a visit to the Tampa Bay History Center is definitely worth the time and price.  Nothing like learning about the rich past of your hometown!
