Forget those lame "haunted" houses you can walk through safely roped off from actors in scary makeup and props crafted in some garage.  Sure, you might get a little scare for a second when something pops out, but it all subsides when you realize it's all fake.  If you're looking for something truly scary, something that'll definitely get your blood running during the Halloween season, you've got to check out Halloween Ghost Ship 2011 on the American Victory Ship going down October 28th and 29th, 2011.

The ghost ship event is anything but some cheesy, jump out and scare you walk through.  You see, the American Victory Ship has a long, haunted history you can't make up.  After the Korean War, in March of 1953 to be exact, the American Victory returned to America with 370 deceased GI's who lost their lives in the war on board.  Many today, including paranormal experts, claim the ship to be haunted.

At Halloween Ghost Ship 2011, you'll be able to explore this ship in near darkness and see for yourself if you so dare.  Not props or actors here, just you and the confines of this supposedly haunted war ship.  You won't be alone though.  A group of paranormal experts will be on board to teach you the basics of ghost hunting with a command center, EMF readers, tape recorders, and other ghost hunting tools.

Halloween Ghost Ship 2011 on the American Victory Ship goes down on two separate nights, October 28th and 29th, and runs from 7:30 till 11:30 p.m.  Ticket prices, the on-sale date, and more specific details will be announced soon.  As always, we'll keep you posted here at 813area.com.
