Busch Gardens is decked out in cobwebs, blood and gore for 19 select nights this October as they bring back Howl-O-Scream for the 18th year in a row! Halloween in Tampa is always fun but Howl-O-Scream is designed to make you shake in your shoes as you travel through all 6 haunted houses, 6 scare zones and 6 rides with the monsters themselves. (666, kinda spooky, right?) The themes for the haunted houses this year are: The Black Spot, Water Death Bayou, Unearthed, Motel Hell and two new attractions, The Insomnia House and Simons Slaughterhouse.

The scariest one being Simon’s Slaughterhouse where they suggest you’re over the age of 17 before entering! It is the first time Howl-O-Scream has had an age limitation suggestion on a house because this one is all about he gore. It’s a bloodbath inside this slaughterhouse so be prepared to run if you need to escape Simon’s grasp!

Combine your worst nightmares with an insane asylum and the Insomnia house was born! This new house features creatures from your worst nightmares in a hospital for those who can’t sleep. With this doctor looking for new patients, make sure you get a good night of sleep before as he may try to check you in as his newest patient.

Watch out because every corner your turn could have something lurking behind it! Halloween in Tampa means there’s no where you can’t be spooked! Not only are their haunted houses but there are also scare zones scattered throughout the park that are designed to keep you on your toes! The scare zones include: the Meat Market, Maniac Midway, Camp DOA, Deadly Toys, Hell on Wheels, and Dia De Los Muertos. These scare zones will be all over the park so it leaves you nowhere to hide!

This year be careful which rides you choose to go on because the ghouls don’t always stay where they’re supposed to! I mean they are ghouls after all! Cobra’s Curse, Falcon’s Fury, Cheetah Hunt, Montu, SkeiKra and Kumba will all be taking part in Howl-O-Scream! On these rides you might find yourself sitting next to a creature from Water Death Bayou or a bellboy from Motel Hell!

The Howl-O-Scream team at Busch Gardens transformed me into a Howl-O-Scream worthy monster! Check out my video transformation here!

Thank you to Busch Gardens and Howl-O-Scream for taking time to turn me into an insomnia zombie!
