Film festivals can be one of a kind and truly great experiences.  They're a hotbed for up and coming filmmakers and a fantastic way to see some original work before it's buried in hype or complete disdain.  Heck, sometimes they're the only time a film is even publicly shown.

The Manhattan Short Film Festival is a great way to get the film festival experience in a condensed amount of time and for not a lot of dough.  That's not to say it's any lesser of a film festival than similar ones around the area, though.

On Tuesday September 27, the Manhattan Short Film Festival will bring a collection short films from countries around the world to the USF School of Music's brand new concert hall. Submitted, finalist short films from Sweden, Peru, the UK and more will be featured at this special event.  Best of all, you, the viewer, get to vote on which film you feel is number one.

Tickets for the Manhattan Short Film Festival will be sold one hour before the festival at the concert hall box office.  Admission is $5 and cash only.  If you're a USF student or staff member with valid ID, admission is FREE.  Not too bad.
