After 2 years off, the 2022 Tampa Bay Margarita & Music Festival returns to host Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elle King, and the Village People all while offering plenty of margaritas and tequila cocktails right along the Hillsborough River. Taking place at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on Saturday, May 28th, the Tampa Bay Margarita and Music Festival will feature live music, dozens of margaritas, all kinds of games, and more fun things to do for locals and tourists.

This Memorial Day you can enjoy some of your favorite bands and musicians as they take the stage in this annual margarita festival. On top of big names like Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Tampa Bay Margarita and Music Festival will feature over 50 types of margaritas with a myriad of flavors from classics to extreme and unique cocktails. The festival will also feature the following amenities & activities:

Headliners Lynyrd Skynyrd comes to town as a part of their “Big Wheels Keep on Turnin’ Tour”. The legendary rockers are best known for their platinum-selling “Sweet Home Alabama” and self-proclaimed signature song, “Free Bird." Lynyrd Skynyrd will rock attendees all night and will have support from award-winning recording artist Elle King, as well as The Village People who are both known for their record-breaking tracks. Get ready to throw your hands up for YMCA as everyone will be singing along. In addition to the diverse national lineup, the Tampa Bay Margarita & Music Festival will feature local and regional artists throughout the day, with host and Emcee DJ Fresh.

The Tampa Bay Margarita Festival started in 2012 and has grown to be one of the most popular events in Tampa. The 2019 festival featured headliners Nelly and Cold War Kids which drew over 15,000 attendees. The 2020 and 2021 festivals were canceled due to COVID-19 so this is the first year back which means you know there will be a huge celebration.

“The 2022 festival would have been our 10th year anniversary if it wasn’t for the cancelation. We’re looking forward to celebrating our return and hope to make this the biggest and best festival yet!” says Monica Varner, partner at Big City Events, the festival’s producer.

Big City Events is one of the biggest event producers in Tampa always looking out and listening to the demands of locals and how to make their events better. The Margarita Festival is the culmination of all their hard work and all guests get to reap the benefits, of margaritas!

The festival will take place at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park which is located at 1001 N. Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33606. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, the festival will be open all day from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm. You must be 21+ to attend and VIP options are available for those who want preferred seating, exclusive bars, and deals, as well as more shaded areas. General admission gives you access to all concerts, games, and most bars. There will be reserved seating available as well for those who don't want to have to fight for a spot to see the show.​
