With the 2011 Mother’s Day in Tampa quickly approaching, many are wondering what to do for that special mother in their lives. Thankfully, the Tampa area has plenty of solutions to treat the lovely mothers to a wonderful day or evening out.

  • Spend a relaxing day on the Yacht StarShip in Tampa for a Mother’s Day Brunch or Dinner Cruise. A complimentary champagne toast at dinner will be given to those who enter in the source code, GEM, when purchasing tickets online. The prices are the same for both brunch and dinner so choose your favorite time and get the tickets while they’re still available!
  • The Florida Aquarium is giving free admission both Saturday and Sunday to all moms for the 2011 Mother’s Day with the purchase of a full paid child or adult admission. This is the perfect way to spend the day with mom. The atmosphere and exhibits make it a great choice for families of all ages.
  • The Tampa History Center is also giving free admission for moms on Mother’s Day. There will be arts and crafts for kids, 15% off in the museum store and waterfront dining at the Columbia Café. The THC is another wonderful establishment for all ages to enjoy Mother’s Day 2011.
  • The Glazer Children’s Museum is transforming the Greenberg Traurig Art Lab into a Mother’s Day Workshop! Located on the 2nd floor, kids can come in, choose their craft and create a special gift for mom. The workers here will wrap the gift up in order to keep it a surprise so remember there are no moms allowed in this area, or at least no peeking.
  • For dining, check out Grille 54 and their Mother’s Day Specials. They have created a menu just for the 2011 Mother’s Day in Tampa, with delectable seafood options, chicken, filet and desserts. This will be one mouth watering dining experience that every mother in the Tampa area will enjoy.
  • Pelagia Trattoria is also having a special Mother’s Day Brunch. It is $35 per adult and $14 for children 12 and under, and the menu includes made-to-order omelets, fruits, cheeses, meats and a variety of both hot and cold dishes. Reservations are encouraged here as Chef Daniel Goldich is well known for his taste bud tantalizing menu items.

Finally, and probably most importantly, are the flowers to get for mom on Mother’s Day. 1-800-Flowers is the perfect place to order the freshest flowers for Mother’s Day in the quickest time! Do not start or end the 2011 Tampa Mother’s Day without the perfect flowers for her!

Happy Mother’s Day 2011 for all the Tampa Bay Area Mothers!
