With the amount of EDM events being pushed in our faces through social media ads and promotion newsletters, the electronic music scene reeks of over saturation. Or maybe that smell is the aroma lingering from the sauna-style indoor venues I've been to??? While EDM events are still the hottest thing around, pun intended, there is an immense amount of music culture in this area super-worthy of your designated nights out. During my trip to Chicago for Lollapalooza, I was immersed in multi-genre music. It was a reminder that I appreciated all styles of rhythm and vocals, even the ones outside of beat-matching software.
One of the bands who rocked out in Chi-town was All Time Low. They're an alternative rock band showcasing major talent across many festival stages, like Vans Warped Tour, Reading and Leeds and Soundwave. These boys are hitting up Jannus Live in St. Pete this Friday, September 29th.
My hips don’t move side to side but if they could I’d be showing off at the Wesley Chapel Latin Festival on Saturday the 29th.
Annnnnd one of my personal addictions, Chocolate Puma, is playing a stretch away in Orlando at The Attic, TONIGHT, Thursday, September 27. Those dudes are so freaking fun ~ their music makes you move! I bring shame to shuffling but the Tommie Sunshine collab, “Scrub the Ground,” makes my feet attempt shuffle moves regardless of how embarrassing I make myself look.
It would be a loss on your end if you didn't at least make an attempt to check out one of this artists. Expand your mind and music taste! If you like what you hear, please be sure to connect with me and share your stories HERE. I want to see your pics an vids on Insta >>> don’t forget to tag @813area, @727area, and @407area.
