The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce will host its annual membership dinner and awards ceremony on Friday, January 19th at The Regent. This year's program says, "Welcome Aboard the Member Ship," with a nautical theme to help get you in the mood for Gasparilla a week early. The event is open to both members and non-members of the Chamber of Commerce. Early-bird tickets for non-members currently priced at $50 (prices go up as of January 13) and you can reserve a table for a group of eight for $450. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. However, make sure to arrive before dinner begins, as there is a table decorating contest with the nautical theme. Attendees are invited to dress in cruise ship attire.

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce is well-known for the themes at its annual dinner, and members going all-out to dress up for the event. Past dinners have featured Mardi Gras and America the Beautiful themes. The annual evening celebrating Riverview's business community draws elected officials from each level of government.  

"As Riverview continues to develop, it is important to recognize those who do great business in our community and the many community leaders who lead by example; those who truly make a difference." Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tanya Doran said. "Our annual dinner and award celebration brings these folks together over a delicious meal."

The Riverview program will also feature the installation of the Chamber's new Board of Directors, the passing of the President's gavel, and awards presented to the 2017 Business of the Year in three different categories. The finalists are:

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1966 and represents over 500 members. The Chamber also hosts monthly membership luncheons at The Regent and ribbon cuttings for new businesses. They do good things for businesses in south Hillsborough County and deserve support for their annual membership dinner and awards ceremony Friday, January 19th.
