If your child is a fireworks fanatic and simply can't wait for Independence Day, MOSI - Museum of Science & Industry is prepared to help your family discover the science behind fireworks and rockets for the big day!

The next three weekends, you can launch into Independence Day and celebrate with your child at the MOSI Rockets Red Glare Festival every weekend from June 17 through July 2! Learn how to build paper rockets, launch them 100 feet in the air, and discover exactly how and why they function!

Yes, MOSI is bringing rocket engineers to Tampa so you and your child can meet the people who launch real rockets into space. This is your chance to take rocket building lessons from the best! These amazing technicians will be visiting MOSI on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and in celebration of Father's Day, dad's receive free admission!

Learn what makes fireworks light up the sky through demonstrations with MOSI's STEAM Team (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).

MOSI’s Rockets’ Red Glare Festival activities are included with regular MOSI admission.  and so is their newest exhibit, Cardboard Space Adventures where kids can flex their imagination muscles exploring space stations, alien bases, and mazes all made out of cardboard!
