The City of Tampa and the Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. are teaming up to host Scream on the Green, a monthly midnight horror movie series at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa.

Scream on the Green will kick off on Friday, June 21 with a midnight showing of the classic Stanley Kubrick thriller The Shining, starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.

The series will continue on the third friday of each month until August 16. Following The Shining, Dawn of the Dead will show on Friday, July 19 and The Exorcist will show on Friday, August 16 at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Because of the mature content of these films, Scream on the Green is intended for adult audiences and might not be suitable for those under the age of 18.

In addition to the midnight films, Scream on the Green will also feature a variety of concessions including kettle corn, roasted nuts, lemonade, sno cones, cotton candy, and more available to purchase. Wicked Witches food truck will also be there cooking up some delicious eats.

Low back chairs, coolers and leashed dogs are allowed, but alcohol is prohibited at all Scream on the Green events.
