Stone crab season has been under way for a little under a month now in Florida.  Lasting from October to May, this period is a time where restaurants and other eateries stock up on this seafood delicacy ready for the crackin' and eating.

If you're really looking to go all out on the stone crab claws, head to Tampa's 16th Annual Stone Crab Festival hosted by Tampa's Propeller Club.

It takes place on Tuesday, November 15th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m at the Tampa Port Authority's Cruise Terminal 2.  Head out after work and chow down on unlimited, fresh Florida stone crab claws with all the fixings, seafood chowder and cool drinks.  Claws and seafood will be provided by a variety of Tampa seafood eateries including Skipper's Smokehouse and Captain John's.

Live music will be provided by Matt Valcourt and anyone attending who's willing to participate in some sure-to-be-awesome karaoke.

Other features at the 16th Annual Stone Crab Festival include a silent auction hosted by Memorabilia Magic, a 50/50 raffle, and Tugboat ballet show.

Advance tickets to the fest are $68 before November 5 and $78 after.  A variety of corporate, multiple ticket packages are available as well.  Individual and package tickets can be purchased at the Propeller Club website.

Tampa's Propeller Club is the largest of its kind in the United States with over 450 active members.   They work to support the maritime industry, promote maritime education, and foster good relationships between the individuals, merchants, and government entities that make up Tampa's seaport community.

Proceeds from the 16th Annual Stone Crab Festival will benefit Tampa's historical American Victory Ship.
