The initial music lineup for the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City was announced earlier this week and, if you're a big fan of country music, you're definitely in for a treat.
Country superstar Blake Shelton is set to headline this year's Strawberry Festival with supporting concerts from the likes of Scotty McCreery, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, and Neal McCoy.
But, that's not it. The Strawberry Festival will play host to a handful of pop and rock acts including Foreigner, Casting Crowns, Chubby Checker, and Bobby Vinton throughout the Strawberry Festival's run from Thursday, February 28 through Friday, March 10, 2013.
Strawberry Festival officials say this is only the first stage of their concert lineup announcement. They plan to announce around 12 more bands and artists as the 2013 festival approaches.
So far, the 2013 Strawberry Festival lineup looks like this.
February 28 - Foreigner (7:30), Chubby Checker (3:30)
March 1 - Casting Crowns (7:30)
March 2 - Justin Moore (7:30)
March 5 - Martina McBride (7:30), Bobby Vinton (3:30)
March 6 - Trace Adkins (7:30), Neal McCoy (3:30)
March 7 - Brantley Gilbert (7:30)
March 8 - Scotty McCreery (7:30)
March 10 - Blake Shelton (7:30)
We can probably expect additional artists to fill in these single-act dates giving each day of the festival performances from two artists or bands. Tickets to the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival go on sale December 3 and are $8 for adults and $4 for kids in advance.
