The first ever Tampa Bay Beer Week is already gearing up to be the biggest beer event the Tampa area has ever seen. Kicking off with the Florida Brewer's Guild Beerfest at Centro Ybor on Saturday, March 3, Tampa Bay Beer Week will feature 50+ beer-centric events all throughout the week in Tampa.
The idea was born when all the major players - brewers, distributors, and more - in the Tampa craft beer scene agreed to pitch in and make the first annual Tampa Bay Craft Beer Week a reality. This loose-knit collective hopes that the week-long event will bring new attention to the already thriving craft beer scene in Tampa and become an annual draw for tourists in the area.
March 3-10 is the height of tourist season in Tampa, so these warm, Spring Break dates are more than fitting.
The Florida Brewer's Guild Beerfest will kick off the week-long celebration at the Centro Ybor complex in Ybor City. This annual event has sold out in advance for the past three years, so head to the Florida Brewer's Guild Beerfest ticket page to get yours today.
Events during Tampa Bay Beer Week will include beer pairings, special-release beer parties, brewery nights, home brewing demonstrations, and much more.
The event will end with Cigar City Brewing's 3rd Annual Hunahpu's Day on Saturday, March 10. This will be a small beerfest with an expected 2,000 in attendance for the annual release of the brewery's most highly regarded beer, Hunahupu's Imperial Stout.
