One of the Bay Area's most exciting events of the fall has returned, as the 5th Annual Tampa Bay's Tailgate Taste Fest has been set for Saturday, October 6, 2018.

The Tailgate Taste Fest, a joint venture between the Event Development Institute and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, will take place in downtown Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park. From 3:00 to 10:30 P.M., two large screens will be displaying the day's best college football matchups, while guests can enjoy live music, beer, and food throughout the park. The event is also kid-friendly and dog-friendly, with a Fan Zone - featuring activities from local sports franchises - dedicated to family fun.

Is there anything better than being outside for football, beer and food? Amazingly, yes - the event is free for all attendees! If you'd like an enhanced experience, wristbands for Very Important Tailgates (VITs) are already available for purchase at TailgateTasteFest.com. The VIT package includes access to a tent with prime viewing locations, unlimited tailgate snacks, drinks, and beverages, and a free sample from each of the participating restaurants.

It's one of the best events in Tampa Bay as vendors also compete for prizes in several categories such as "Best Tailgating Food" and "Best Barbeque" as voted on by a panel of judges.

Jenna Grooms, Event Manager for the Event Development Institute, had the following to say about the event: "Our goal with this event is to provide the ultimate tailgating experience and give locals and visitors an excuse to visit one of our area's most iconic city parks. The event really has it all, from a cornhole tournament and kid-friendly inflatables, to live music and great food and drinks - it's all-things tailgate with Tampa flair."

Further details on the event, including the gameday TV schedule, will be posted on the website as well, so be sure to check back closer to kickoff.
