As a native Tampan, naturally I love the beach! But I never seem to make it there as much as I want. It's so close but on those weekend mornings, it always seems so far. That's until I found out about the Brew Bus USA Beach Day trip! I decided to hop on the Brew Bus and leave the driving to them for a perfect Sunday on St. Pete Beach.
We started the day by meeting at Cigar City Brewing at 11:15 for our 11:30 departure. The weather looked a little iffy that day but I received an email that morning from the Brew Bus saying they had looked at the radar and the forecast looked ok, hooray! Check in was easy and smooth and everyone started making new friends right away.
Time to board the bus!
The fun began as soon as we got rolling and our super sweet Beertender Dalton offered us something to fill our new Brew Bus coozies. Choices included Brew Bus Brewing's own Rollin Dirty Irish Red Ale, You're My Boy, Blue! Blueberry Wheat, Last Stop India Pale Ale or Beertmosas's, any of the brews mixed with champagne. My friend and I opted for You're My Boy, Blue! Blueberry Wheat Beermosas's which were beyond delicious!
A couple Beermosas's down and we were already at the Postcard Inn On The Beach, our home base for the day.
The Post Card Inn is located right on St. Pete Beach and is famous for their poolside PCI Beach Bar parties. Some headed to the beach while we went straight to the bar for more drinks from this friendly crew.
We had all day to drink, eat and enjoy the beach! We also took a dip in the PCI pool:

We all enjoyed a leisurely day of beaching, eating, swimming, drinking and dancing with new friends! What could be better on a hot summer day?
At the end of a perfect day, it was time to let someone else do the driving and get back on bus for the trip to Tampa. I think we lost a few but I'm sure Uber got them back home safely.
We arrived back at Cigar City around 6. Plenty of time to continue the party or rest up for the week ahead.
