With a name like the Festival of Chocolate, how can you not look forward to an event like this?

Going down at the Museum of Science and Industry in North Tampa from Saturday, January 14th to Monday the 16th, the Festival of Chocolate will feature vendors selling a variety of chocolatey delights ranging from cookies to cakes, brownies, cupcakes, ice cream, truffles, and more.

Chocolate barbecue sauce and meat rubs?  Yep.  Both are making their debuts this year at the Festival of Chocolate.

The Kidz 4 Chocolate exhibit will provide a place for kids to craft chocolate masterpieces while also learning about the process this delectable treat takes from cacoa bean to sweet chocolate bar.

A number of award-winning pastry chefs and chocolatiers will also be on hand hosting interactive demonstrations and sharing their favorite techniques for preparing this sweet delicacy.  There will also be a live chocolate showpiece competition featuring breathtaking and edible chocolate sculptures.

In the spirit of the museum environment, there will also be a unique chocolate-themed museum on hand as well as a hands-on science of chocolate exhibit and brownie bingo where you can even eat the playing pieces!

It doesn't end there either.  The Festival of Chocolate will also feature Chocolate University taught by a number of "chocolate Masters", A Double-Dare You of unusual items dipped in chocolate like crickets and jalapeños, cookie stacking contests, chocolate mustaches, book signings and a complimentary chocolate raffle.

Don't miss it!  The Festival of Chocolate goes down January 14-16 at MOSI.  Best of all, admission to the fest is FREE with your paid admission to MOSI.
