St. Patricks Day is finally here, and one of the best parties in the 813 will be happening all weekend at O'Brien's in Brandon. Three days, three events, and tons of Irish cheer!
Friday - O'Brien's St. Patrick’s Weekend is the kickoff, with no cover and live music starting at 6:30 p.m.. The Black Velvet Band will be rocking the night away with a Celtic-folk sound that will pair perfectly with your green beer. Other acts of the evening include: Soul Circus Cowboys, DJ Grimey Official, and you and your crew can take a turn on the mic during Karaoke with Tommy Love!
Festivities on Saturday - O'Brien's St. Patrick’s Weekend start nice in early with the 2019 Annual Shamrock Classic 10K, 5K, & 1 Mile race that begins at O'Briens at 8 a.m., and makes its way through Brandon finishing back at the start. It's a St. Patty's-themed race so make sure to wear your green and shamrocks for good luck! There are finisher medals and ribbons, post-race food, free race photos, and of course a beer at the finish line. Saturday also includes a New World Celtic Highlander games to test your athletic prowess, along with more live music at 6 p.m. including Billy McKnight, Justin Walden, and Dj Grimey Official.
The Sunday - O'Brien's Saint Patrick's Weekend slate starts a little earlier and goes all night! The live music starts at noon with acts like the Dunedin Pipe Band, Paul Duffy, 22N, Billy McKnight Jr, Nobody Cares, Smakk, DJ Gimey Official, Johnny Q, and Scream Machine making appearances throughout the day. There will be plenty of food, beer, and other O'Brien's favorites to celebrate the greenest day of the year. After 2 p.m. there will be a $10 cover charge so make sure to bring some cash!
