A dazzling carnival and midway, a bounty of bratwurst and other German foods, and pints upon pints of delicious beer—are all coming together for Top of the Bay Oktoberfest 2017, October 22-24 at Tampa Bay Downs in Oldsmar.
Presented by the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, Top of the Bay Oktoberfest is turning 22 this year. This makes it not only a bonafide Tampa tradition, but a family-friendly event, and a must-visit for residents, friends, and travelers to the Tampa Bay area.
For only $5, you’ll gain access to a world of authentic German fanfare featuring an expansive Munich style tent, live German music, dance troupes, great German food, plenty of big Munich-style beers and dozens of food and arts and crafts vendors. Add a kid-friendly carnival and audience participation events like the famous stein holding contest, and you’ve got one great event that’s just a big as it is affordable.
Not to mention there will be acres of free parking all weekend long. Plus, kids under 12 and those with a military ID get in free.
Top of the Bay Oktoberfest will kick off on Friday, Oct. 20th at 5 p.m.
If you’re the fun-loving, carnival-riding type, you can get unlimited access to all the rides for $50 all weekend, or $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, and $20 for Sunday.
This year, they’re even introducing a Weiner Dog Derby (a.k.a. cuteness overload) and a Volkswagen Car Show on Sunday afternoon.
