An upcoming Tampa Food Truck Rally scheduled for Saturday, August 31 will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most food trucks operating in one place according to the Tampa Tribune.

Taking place at the Florida State Fairgrounds, the event, deemed the World's Largest Food Truck Rally, hopes to break the previous record set at an April rally in Miami at Magic City Casino with 64 food trucks trucks.  Generation Food Truck, the group organizing the upcoming Tampa rally, hopes to attract over 100 food trucks to the Fairgrounds on August 31.

To do this, they put the word out via email to 168 operators in Florida, including about 45 from the Tampa area, a few weeks ago.  Word spread, even across state lines, with trucks from Atlanta and South Carolina expected to attend the upcoming rally, the Tribune reports.

The World's Largest Food Truck Rally will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with tons of food trucks from Tampa and beyond as well as a number of local bands expected to perform and more.

Parking at the event will be $6.  Entry is free with each truck charging individually for food.
