We have all done them. Thrown themed parties in college and in our bachelor years. We have thrown the Tiki Party, the Throwback Party and the Mixology Party. We thought getting a couple hundred kids to show up meant you were the cool guy on campus.

It was a lot work to put on those parties and we took so much pride in them.

But what does it take to throw the Ultimate Party?

160 people in the production staff

80 bartenders

18,000 pounds of ice

11 brands of Tequila

2,676 bottles of tequila (90,000 ounces)

40,000 margaritas ready to be made

1 truck load of mixers

8,000 people

Now that is a Party!

Big City Events is taking over Downtown Tampa this weekend with the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival on Saturday, May 24th. A one of a kind themed party that has people buzzing from all across the country, not just locals here in Tampa.

Event Producers of Big City Events, Monica Varner and Ferdian Jap first created the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival last year and had a sell out crowd at Curtis Hixon Park. This year, they have not only expanded the festival, but have a ton of cool new additions.

Have you ever thrown a party with a Mechanical Bull? Well have you ever thrown a party with a Mechanical Corona Bottle? That's right, this Saturday you can challenge your friends not to who can drink the beer the fastest, but who can ride the beer the longest!

Also new this year is the Grand Tequila Tasting event taking place the Friday before. If you thought 35 varieties of margaritas was going to be enough, but now you can sample from over 40 tequila brands, from the basic to ultra premiums, to rare ones. The Grand Tequila Tasting event is a separate ticketed event taking place at the Epicurean Hotel in South Tampa.

So learn from the best and come join the party this Saturday. Tickets are only $15 in advance and are still available...but not for long! Visits www.tampamargaritafest.com for details and tickets.
