Following the news of upcoming performances from the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, Trace Adkins, and Journey during events surrounding the 2012 Republican National Convention, performances from both Zach Brown Band and Steve Aoki have been added to the list of concerts during the 2012 RNC.

Zac Brown Band will play a private party hosted by API's Vote4Energy campaign on the final evening of the convention, Thursday, August 30.  The band will play at a cruise ship terminal at the Port of Tampa as a part of Vote4Energy's efforts to urge leaders to invest in alternatives to foreign oil, including natural gas, nuclear energy and biofuels.

The nonpartisan concert will take place in conjunction with a similar concert hosted by Vote4Energy at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.  The DNC concert will feature featuring O'Malley's March, a Celtic rock band fronted by Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.

In addition to the recently-announced Zac Brown Band concert, famed international DJ Steve Aoki will also play an RNC-related concert on Tuesday, August 28 during the convention.  This one takes place at the Amphitheatre in Ybor City and actually was open to the public via an free, online reservation, but those limited tickets are no longer available.  If you hang around the Amphitheatre long enough, though, maybe you can get your hands on a ticket.

The 2012 Republican National Convention will take place from August 27-30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Downtown Tampa.  Check out our RNC 2012 page for all the important information.
