When thinking of all the thrilling fun and themed events that go into the Halloween season each year, one of the last places you'd probably consider is the local zoo.  But, don't be fooled.  When a place like Lowry Park Zoo aims to celebrate this spooky holiday season, you can bet they do it right.

ZooBoo 2012 at Lowry Park Zoo is this local institutions annual holiday celebration that offers adults and kids alike a one of a kind Halloween experience they won't soon forget.  Head out to Lowry Park Zoo on any of the select dates listed below between September 28 and October 28 for a night-time Halloween celebration featuring everything from a variety of haunted houses to aweome animal encounters and much more.

ZooBoo 2012 will kick off with a Shriek Preview Weekend on September 28 and 29 then continue with the following dates; October 5-7, 11-14, 18-21, and 25-28.  ZooBoo 2012 will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 7 to 10 p.m. on all other nights.

This year, Lowry Park Zoo will have six haunted houses of all different scare levels throughout the park for ZooBoo.  Bring the little ones along for a tiny scare or brave one yourself if you so dare.  In addition to the houses, there will be other fright-filled attractions throughout the park to make ZooBoo 2012 a true Halloween celebration.

There will also be a variety of animals on hand to observe including the bugs in the special ZooBoo attraction, Creepy Crawley Lane as well as displays and lights throughout the park, specials rides, and more.
