Join us to celebrate, recognize, and honor women and women farmworkers.
Event Details
Enterprising Latinas, Inc. invites you to join the Wimauma Women's March 2019 on Saturday, March 23rd from 10am-1pm, starting from Bethune Park and ending at the Wimauma Opportunity Center. The March will convene women from Wimauma and neighboring communities to celebrate Women's History Month and honor the contributions and rights of women farmworkers.
This event is free and open to the public. Please wear something hot pink. You may register your participation at https://bit.ly/2H1e8Hi
In honor of the farmworkers, donations of long sleeve shirts, bandanas, scarves or hats will be appreciated for the protection of women working in the fields. Donations can be brought before or on the day of the event to the Wimauma Opportunity Center (5128 State Road 674).
We are seeking sponsors to support defray some of the event costs-- please see attached form. Enterprising Latinas, Inc. te invita a unirte a la Marcha de Mujeres Wimauma 2019 el sábado 23 de marzo de 10am-1pm, comenzando en Bethune Park y terminando en el Centro de Oportunidades de Wimauma. La Marcha reunirá a mujeres de Wimauma y comunidades vecinas para celebrar el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer y honrar las contribuciones y los derechos de las trabajadoras agrícolas.
Este evento es gratuito y abierto al público. Por favor, ponte algo rosa. Puede registrar su participación en: https://bit.ly/2H1e8Hi
En honor a las trabajadoras agrícolas, las donaciones de camisas de manga larga, pañuelos, bufandas o sombreros serán apreciadas para la protección de las mujeres que trabajan en el campo. Las donaciones pueden ser traídas antes o en el día del evento al Centro de Oportunidades de Wimauma (5128 State Road 674).
