JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for scheduling, planning, timing and supervision of all details for the room service department.

 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports
  • Ensures accurate record keeping

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree preferred with one (1) to three (3) years of food & beverage supervisory experience required or a combination of education and/or work experience
  • Hotel experience is helpful
  • Must be able to interface effectively with other management staff to deliver a positive guest service experience
  • Must have proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a staff of 40 employees
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Must be able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Infogenesis POS system
  • Strong understanding of cost of sales for both beverage and food as well as labor costs and inventory control

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the hotel and back of house of the property, which can be fast-paced. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
