Currently, a Publix store stands at the corner of Fletcher Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway, but plans are in place to tear down this location in the spring and build a Greenwise-esque concept in its place, slated to be back up and running in early 2014.

Competing with the new Whole Foods a couple of blocks north in Northdale, the revamped Publix store will also feature a number of organic, gluten-free and all-natural items and fresh foods. In addition, the new store will have a sit-down coffee shop with Wi-Fi, a cheese shop with many varieties and a cheese specialist, a meat and seafood department with hormone and antibiotic free options, as well as a larger sushi counter, and more.

While prices won't be different than what you'd find in any other Publix store, the new concept will give customers the feel of a higher end grocery store while still staying true to what makes Publix a well-known and popular store.
