Joe Garcia, the chef genius behind Grille One Sixteen, is now working his magic at the newly renovated Beach Bar & Restaurant. Located on the property of Rocky Point’s Bay Harbor Hotel, Beach Bar & Restaurant has gone under extensive renovations with the hotel. “As a longtime resident of Tampa, I have known this property for many years and feel privileged to be part of its transformation into an upscale, lifestyle oriented seaside resort,” said Crystal Rivera, Bay Harbor’s General Manager.

Included in the multimillion-dollar renovation plans was the desire to totally transform Hogan’s Beach Restaurant. Beach Bar & Restaurant now features a Key West island-inspired theme with contemporary furnishings. Casual seating and sofas create their new relaxed and casual look. New management is moving toward creating a coastal-chic, full-service lifestyle resort hoping to reach a variety of new customers to island-style dining on a scenic waterfront.

New family-friendly features and events are also part of the new image too. Kids,12 and under eat free on Thursdays and the hotel will be hosting movies on the waterfront starting at 6 p.m. along with a popcorn station and build your own sundae table.

Garcia, 39, was excited to create a full-service menu that would need to reach guests at a hotel that is open every day of the year. The 20,000 square foot indoor/outdoor restaurant features three bars; and is open seven days a week from 7 a.m.-1 a.m.  They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with affordable pricing sure to fit everyone’s budget. The new menu offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches, omelets, waffles, pancakes and French toast; and several signature specialties like the All-American breakfast to start your day. Perfect for the hearty appetite! For lighter fare, you can order individual side items.

Lunch and dinner will have you noshing on delectable apps like oyster rockefeller, conch fritters or some BBQ pork sliders. You’ll also find soups and salads, a variety of specialty tacos, pizza, burgers and build your own mac & cheese! If you choose the grouper or chicken sandwich, be sure to try their house made chips. If you like to stick with the tried and true, French fries are always available.

How about a doughnut burger?! A beignet style bun smothered with cheese, bacon in a caramel sauce. You can also pick a Cajun burger decked with blackened ground prime steak or the All-American for all you traditionalists. If you like beer too, visit Beach Bar & Restaurant any Tuesday during March for $10 Burgers & Beer! Your entrée selections will range from seared scallops and hog snapper to seafood pasta, BBQ ribs or Caribbean steak. If you have a bigger event coming up, Beach Bar & Restaurant offers full-service catering and banquet options.

Red or white? Beach Bar & Restaurant has you covered with a nice wine selection, and if you come on Wednesday for their Sunset Karaoke & Winded Down Wednesday events each week, you can enjoy half price wine bottles and a happy hour menu. The fun starts at sunset with karaoke at their outdoor bar.  You can also choose draft beers, aluminum bottles and a variety of specialty cocktails the Miami Vice or their signature Bloody Mary.

“I've always had an appreciation for the beauty of the hotels along South Beach and am thrilled to bring that magic into Bay Harbor Hotel in Tampa," Rivera said.
