Well, if the dwindling state of the Channelside Bay Plaza wasn't apparent enough, two of its most notable and longstanding tenants will close their doors for good later this month.

Stump's Supper Club and Howl at the Moon will both cease regular operations at the Channelside Bay Plaza this Saturday, September 15.  Both businesses are owned by an affiliate of the groups that own and operate Splitsville Luxury Lanes, Tinatapa's and The Boathouse in Channelside.

Opened in 2001, Stump's was known for its classically eclectic atmosphere filled by the sounds of regular house band, The Velvet Explosion and great, Southern-inspired eats for lunch and dinner.

Howl at the Moon was a prime nightlife destination in Channelside known for it's often-hilarious and entertaining dueling piano performances and huge bucket drinks.

Stump's Supper Club will host a a "Grand Retirement and Yard Sale Party" kicking off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 15.  Guests are encouraged to come out and party with great eats, drinks, a final performance from the Velvet Explosion, and a one of a kind indoor yard sale featuring all the great decor inside of Stump's like velvet Elvis paintings, string art, taxidermy and a vintage beer can collection.

A portion of the proceeds from the Grand Retirement and Yard Sale Party will benefit Open Arms Ministry at Hyde Park Methodist Church in the efforts to feed the homeless.

Howl at the Moon will also join in on the Saturday festivities with a final dueling piano show where guests can dance on the pianos and all the fun that goes along with a Howl at the Moon experience one last time.
