Ybor City is full of bars and clubs catering to anyone and everyone.  There's got dance clubs, lounges, gay bars, concert venues, and a whole lotta others catering to the various demographics who frequent this Tampa nightlife haven.

The Castle, almost an Ybor institution at this point, really seems to pride itself on casting a wide net and being the perfect dance club for everyone in or visiting Ybor.

Opened in 1992, the Castle is a mecca of subculture in Ybor boasting five different elegantly-designed rooms perfect for a night at the bar, dancing to the dj, or even watching a movie on certain nights.

Speaking of certain nights, the Castle has a different theme for a few different nights of the week. For example, Mondays are dedicated to the 80's.  Enjoy retro 80's from bands like Duran Duran and Depeche Mode while visuals are blasted onto 4 different projection screen and you, hopefully, dance your face off.

Thursday nights are, by far, the Castle's most popular night.  Deemed "Pop n' Wave" Thursday's jams are dedicated to what MTV would play if they still played music videos; ultra-danceable hits perfect for a night on the dance floor.  Genres like pop, indie, and electro are fair game with bands like MGMT and Shiny Toy guns pumping through the sound system.

Saturday is when the Castle caters to Tampa's darker, shall we say, gothic side.  It's an interesting mix and definitely a great place to kick back and watch some not-so-typical folk do their thing.

Whatever night you choose to go on, you can bet a visit to the Castle will be an experience to remember.  Grab some friends, head out, and see what the Castle is all about.
