Bayfront Park

This pet and child-friendly park in the heart of downtown has scenic views of the bay, Ringling Bridge, and Sarasota's skyline. The well-kept green space and walking paths make it the perfect area to stroll, jog, have a picnic, or watch boats come in the marina.  

Bradenton Riverwalk

Spanning for one and a half miles, the Bradenton Riverwalk overlooking Manatee River has plenty of free things to do for visitors. There's beach volleyball, a skate park, a Mosaic Amphitheater for shows, and a Great Lawn for picnicking, river watching, or taking part in the free exercise classes and art shows.

Downtown Sarasota

Take a relaxing stroll down the palm-lined streets of Downtown Sarasota to see the Mediterranean-style buildings on Main Street and Palm Avenue. There are a number of art galleries, antique shops, clothing and bookstores that you can window-shop.

First Friday Gallery Walks

Every first Friday of the month, there's a free gallery walk on Palm Avenue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy gallery openings, specialty shops, and more while the members of the Palm Avenue Arts Alliance perform live.

Myakka River State Park

This state park offers wildlife, lakes, hiking, bicycling, the Myakka River, and more. The park is open 365 days a year from 8:00 a.m. until sunset. While admission to the park is free, guests are required to pay $6 per vehicles with two to eight passengers, $4 for single occupant vehicles, and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists. 

Ringling Museum of Art

Experience the fine arts at the Ringling Museum of Art on Mondays when the museum along with special exhibition galleries are open to the public for free from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Regular admission prices apply to visit the Circus Museum or Ca'd'Zan.

Siesta Key Beach

Comprised of Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach, Siesta Key Beach is an eight-mile island that is accessible by two bridges from the mainland. During the day, families and children soak up the sun while, at night, party seekers dance the night away, making this free beach a fun for all.

Siesta Key Drum Circle

Every Sunday, there's a community drum circle at Siesta Key Beach one hour before sunset. This community gathering allows individuals of all ages to come out and sing, chant, dance, relax, or just witness the magic of the event that's been taking place since 1996.
